Additional Text Field

How to setup additional text field with add-ons to get additional information

This feature allows you to show a text-field with the addon product and it enable your customers to drop a message on the add-on product that you can see in the Shopify order section.

The message may be a gift card, a name, a number on a t-shirt or anything else you want your customers to include with the addon.

1. Activate the additional text field feature

Go to Settings > Additional Text Field and activate the Additional Text Field by enabling the toggle button in front of the “Text Field With Addons” and click 'Save'

If you want to display the label for the text field you can enable the toggle button in front of the “Label With Text Field” and click 'Save'

2. Enable text field on add-ons

You need to activate the text fields to display on the required addons.

To activate the text field, you need to select the checkbox in front of the addon and click Save.

3. Expected outcome

This will display a text box right below your addon product.

4. Change the Label and placeholder

You can also change the text of the label and placeholder for additional text fields.

Go to Settings > Label Settings > Additional Text Field

Change the text for the label and placeholder as per your requirement and click on 'Save'
